As a soloist, Ellie has performed recitals in venues across the UK, most recently at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester, and concertos with orchestras in the UK and abroad.

Her love of orchestral playing was confirmed when, in 2001, she was appointed leader of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and later in 2004, began playing with the LSO as part of the string experience scheme which has led to regular work with the orchestra. Other orchestral experience includes playing as Principal Violin at the CBSO and Co-Principal 2nd violin in ENO.

Ellie was a semi finalist in the 2010 Bordeaux International Chamber Music Competition with the 'Puertas Quartet' and is regularly invited to participate in Open Chamber Music at IMS Prussia Cove.

Ellie loves exploring the diversity of the violin, composing and improvising with 'hang' player Manu Delago in their group 'Living Room in London' which received widespread acclaim after their appearance at the Edinburgh Fringe. Her last major project was exploring Bach from a baroque perspective during a short term residency at the Banff Centre in Canada.

Her Awards include, the MBF ‘Emily English Scholarship’ for the most outstanding violinist heard at audition, Associated Board Scholarship and the highest award from the Countess of Munster which included a place on their prestigious recital scheme.
